Signs Your Baby Has Stomach Worms

Kids are very delicate and catch infections easily, probably because their immune system is developing and it is not strong enough to fight off germs. One of the common stomach problems in children is intestinal worms. These worms  they take away all minerals and vitamins from the child’s body and make them weak. So to keep  them away from your little one you must look out for the below signs.

  • Spitting

This is one of the most common signs that your child is having worms in stomach. Excessive spitting indicates that there is worm infection in your kid’s stomach.

  • Sore Tummy

Because of worms in the intestine, your child may experience stomach aches on a regular basis. No matter what they eat they feel constant pain in stomach and due to a sore tummy and discomfort, they may develop irritable behavior too.

  • Foul smell from stool

This might sound strange because stool always smells but an unusual foul smell from the stool indicates  worm infection. If you notice this then you must visit a doctor.

  • Itchiness around private parts

At times worm infection grow so serious that they create itchiness near the private parts of the baby. Intestinal worms tend to lay their eggs late in the night and early in the morning, then the worms move towards the anus of the baby and create itching and irritation around the area.

  • Grinding teeth while sleeping

Yes, grinding teeth during sleep can be a result of worms. This can further lead to jaw pain, headaches, and discomfort. This is caused because of the anxiety and restlessness caused by toxins released by worms in child’s body.

  • Sleeping issues

As a result of itching and stomachache, your child may find it difficult to sleep at night.
