Children may be picky eaters at an early age but gradually pick on the eating habits of parents. Unsolicited remarks from friends, relatives, and even family members can lead to the development of eating disorders in children which can be hard to deal with.

- Losing weight rapidly
- Trying to lose weight by not eating
- Excessive exercising
- Trying to vomit after eating
- Binge eating food
- Having no control over the quantity of food being consumed
- Obsessively trying to lose weight
- Constantly trying to change how they look
- Eats their food fast
- Feel guilty after finishing off snacks
Here are some of the signs your child may be developing an eating disorder. The above signs alone should not be used to diagnose any eating disorder. If you suspect your child is suffering from it, you can take him/her to the doctor who specializes in the treatment.
Apart from that, make sure they discover themselves with age and participate in activities that bring out their talent. Parents play an important role in making the child understand that looks are one aspect of personality and there is so much more to life than just that.
